A video featuring Australian cricketers describing Virat Kohli in one word has gone viral, largely because of Australian skipper Pat Cummins' blunt answer. Unlike his teammates, who offered glowing tributes, Cummins chose to label Kohli simply as "batter." While Usman Khawaja and Nathan Lyon called Kohli a "superstar," and Steve Smith termed him "classy," Cummins' remark sparked outrage among Indian fans.

On social media, many fans accused Cummins of arrogance. Comments like "Need Pat Cummins' downfall" and "This is becoming cringe now" flooded the video, which was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by ABC Sport.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Cummins has taken a lighthearted approach. In a previous video, he described Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah as "bowler."

Kohli, despite his fluctuating form in 2024, remains a focal point for Indian cricket. While he claimed the Orange Cap in the IPL and shone in the T20 World Cup final, his Test performances have been underwhelming, scoring just 373 runs in 8 matches at an average of 26.64.

India faces a critical challenge in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with Kohli’s contributions being vital for their hopes of reaching the WTC final in 2025. Fans and critics alike are eager to see if Kohli can silence his doubters and lead from the front.
